Showing their lethal form in the second half, the Beeemen turned a slim 44-41 lead at the break into a 10-point 74-64 cushion heading into payoff period and never looked back.
SMB thus halted a disastrous two-game losing slide as they went back up to the .500 mark with an even 3-3 win-loss card. The Elite, meanwhile, absorbed their second consecutive defeat and fell to 1-4.
June Mar Fajardo had his usual servings with 20 points, 21 rebounds, five assists, and four blocks, while Alex Cabagnot made his presence felt in his return from a hamstring injury, producing 19 points on an efficient 8-of-15 shooting from the field along with five assists, a rebound, a steal, and a block in over 24 minutes of play.
Terrence Romeo had his moment as well after contributing 17 points, five rebounds, and four assists, while Chris Ross added 14 points, seven rebounds, and six assists in the win.
Roi Sumang compiled 17 points, five rebounds, and six assists, while Mike DiGregorio had 14 points. Allein Maliksi had 13 points and 12 rebounds in a losing effort for Blackwater.
